Fiat will launch a hybrid version of the model 500, following the success it had on the market, informs Motor Authority.

Thus, Fiat 500 hybrid will be based on the new engine with two cylinders which will work in parallel with one electric, and consumption will be only 2.94 litri/100 km, with emissions of 90g/km. But Fiat does not stop here, the car will have a transmission with a double coupler, a stop-start system, a sign that its engineers are as good as any others from the industry.

The propeller with two cylinders seems to be the perfect choice for carbon dioxide emissions, but besides that, with 20% more easily than one with 4 cylinders comparable (decreases weight, improves dynamics) and as strong. "
Fiat 500 hybrid 500 hybrid will be presented in a saloon car at the end of this year, followed to reach the showrooms in 2011.
