You expect that the most powerful model, able to operate with compressed natural gas to be a sports car.
The strongest European market as regards the use of natural gas is Italy and therefore Opel decided to launch the new model at the Bologna Motor Show, which will take place between 5 and 14 December. The engine with which is equipped the new Zafira is a 1.6 liter surcharge capable of a maximum power of 150 HP and a torque of 210 Nm. Maximum speed is not very high, just 200 km / h.
How the costs of running on compressed natural gas are up to 50% less, such alternative could prove very beneficial. The new Opel Zafira can run on both natural gas / methane and petrol. If in the first case the autonomy given by the 4 reservoirs is 370 km, if are used 14 liters of gas, the car can go another 150 km. Sales will begin in January.
