Russia's Richest Man Could Buy Hummer Brand

General Motors has expressed for more times the intention to put at sell the Hummer brand, and among those interested are few companies in India, China and Russia. But closer to the American brand seems to be the billionaire Oleg Deripaska, the richest man from Russia, according to the negotiation sources.

But the same sources, quoted by Mediafax, asserted that, for now, the discussions are at exploratory level, because Hummer is not yet for sale in formally mode.

Between the Russian businessman, the man who controls the auto company, number two from Russia, GAZ, and GM, there was discussion on the enlargement of the largest U.S. auto manufacturer on the Russian market.

One of the sources also stated that Deripaska would like that the Canadian manufacturer of auto parts Magna International to be involved in the Hummer production, if will complete the brand takeover.
